1.Visualisation of Winning and Achieving your Goal.
Visualisation is a key tool, when goal setting if you can visualise yourself winning or setting a goal. You are more likely to achieve it. A common example, if you can visualise yourself lifting a back squat personal best, you should visualise lifting the weight with correct form and avoid becoming scared or not visualising lifting the weight.
2. Positive Self-Talk
Positive self-talk is vital for correct mind set. It’s very often there will be people in your life, who will doubt your goals in business or training. The only person to prove them wrong is yourself.
3.Staying in the Moment
Not letting yourself slip out of routine is essential, finding the right balance of work to rest ratio is important. The typical January starter will be finding themselves ‘burning out’ from overload of too much training and not enough rest. A classic novice work to rest ratio, is one day on and one day off.
4. Enjoying the Process
Lastly, you should enjoy the ‘graft’ in the gym, because every day you will become closer to that end goal or objective. You should find enjoyment and excitement within each class, or session.
